Eligibility Criteria for the TAIST-Tokyo Tech Fully Funded Master’s Degree Scholarships
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Nationality: Open to all nationalities.
- Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science in a relevant field (e.g., Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Chemical, Physics, Mathematics, Materials, Environmental, Industrial, Agricultural, Forestry, Production, Computer Science).
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale or equivalent.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English; applicants must submit standardized English proficiency test scores (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS) as specified by TAIST-Tokyo Tech.
Application Procedure
- Online Application:
- Complete the online application form available on the TAIST-Tokyo Tech admissions portal.
- Upload all required documents, including academic transcripts, degree certificates, English proficiency test scores, a statement of purpose, and letters of recommendation.
- Application Deadline: Submit the application by February 28, 2025.
- Interview Process:
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview between March 17 and March 21, 2025.
- Notification of Results:
- The list of applicants who passed the interview and are eligible for the scholarship will be announced on April 7, 2025.
- Final scholarship recipients will be announced on April 23, 2025.
Program Structure for the TAIST-Tokyo Tech Fully Funded Master’s Degree Scholarships
- First Year: Students will enroll in courses primarily taught by professors from Tokyo Tech.
- Second Year: Students will conduct research for their dissertations, mainly in NSTDA laboratories, under the supervision of NSTDA researchers and faculty from partner universities.

Graduates will receive a Master’s degree from the respective Thai university and a certificate from the TAIST-Tokyo Tech program, jointly signed by representatives of Tokyo Tech and NSTDA.
