Objectives of the Poland NAWA Ulam Program
The primary goal of the Ulam NAWA Program is to strengthen the scientific potential of Polish academic and research institutions. By inviting accomplished researchers to Poland, the program seeks to:

- Monthly Stipend: PLN 11,500 to cover living expenses during the stay in Poland.
- Mobility Allowance: A one-time grant to offset travel and relocation costs.
- Family Allowance: Additional financial support for researchers accompanied by family members.
Eligibility Criteria for the Poland NAWA Ulam Program
To be considered for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Academic Qualifications: Possess a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) or equivalent in any scientific discipline.
- Professional Experience: Demonstrate a robust research background with significant scientific achievements.
- Institutional Affiliation: Be affiliated with a foreign (non-Polish) academic or research institution.
- Research Proposal: Submit a detailed plan outlining the intended research activities to be conducted in Poland.
Note: There are no age restrictions for applicants. Researchers who obtained their doctoral degree after August 31, 2024, are exempt from the requirement of current employment at a foreign institution.
Application Process for the Poland NAWA Ulam Program
Interested candidates should follow these steps to apply:
- Identify a Host Institution: Select a Polish university or research center that aligns with your research interests.
- Secure an Invitation: Obtain an official invitation or consent from the chosen institution to host your research project.
- Prepare Application Materials: Compile necessary documents, including your curriculum vitae, a copy of your doctoral diploma, a list of publications, and a comprehensive research proposal.
- Submit the Application: Complete the online application form available on the NAWA website during the application period (February 10, 2025 – May 12, 2025).
Evaluation and Selection
Applications will undergo a rigorous evaluation process based on the following criteria:

- Notification of Results: Applicants will be informed of the selection outcomes in the fourth quarter of 2025.
